As the Product Manager for Client Data Platform, you will own the strategy and roadmap for providing a data platform that empowers business insights, analytics, reporting, and data applications across the company.

This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture. The candidate should be creative, detailed and very client data oriented. Furthermore, this candidate should be able to coordinate and drive work among a large set of stakeholders to achieve a goal with very little supervision. Being results driven is a must.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Own the strategic direction and creation of the data platform roadmap, with key initiatives and milestones.

  • Own and enhance data tooling around data science, storage, transformation, analysis, sharing, and reporting.

  • Represent the team as the main interface for collaboration with internal business partners and actively engage with them to ensure delivery is aligned with business needs and the product vision.

  • Maintain close partnership with the data science, data engineering, and business intelligence teams.

  • Lead the development of data centric toolchains that enable both technical and nontechnical people to access, visualize, and leverage insights from complex datasets.

  • Present roadmaps, complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively.

  • Design and implement a domain driven data architecture and create data lakes across different domains.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; major in Business, Finance, MIS, Computer Science or related fields preferred

  • Excellent presentation skills (oral and written) and analytical skills (including building models and managing complex XLS datasets)

  • SQL and/or database experience highly desired

  • Strong self-motivation and ability to lead work streams relatively independently

  • Ability to multi-task, managing long complex projects alongside urgent high-priority tasks.

  • Deep experience with CRM, eBusiness or Database Marketing

  • 5+ years of experience writing requirements documents and functional specifications.

  • 3+ years of experience using BI tools e.g. Tableau, Business Objects etc.

  • 3+ years of project/task management

  • A deep understanding of the software development life cycle and best practices

For Seattle only the salary range for this position is $117,500 - $142,500.0. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
