Are you someone who can design the next generation of software deployment and developer productivity tooling? The Development & Deployment Services Architect is responsible for technical architecture within our configuration management and software deployment space (Software Infrastructure). This includes driving architectural initiatives, providing guidance to Senior Leadership, and aligning the team technical position with our internal customers. Software in this arena includes GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Chef, and Nexus Repository Manager. In this role you will be creating best in class software development and delivery systems for both cloud deployed and on-premise systems. The architect will identify gaps in process and tooling and recommend areas of opportunity. Clearly define risks, costs, and benefits of proposed solutions to IS leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Core and Enterprise architects to design, develop and deploy Continuous Delivery Pipelines and DevSecOps capabilities that contribute to and support the strategic technical direction of the enterprise
Develop and ensure Enterprise adherence to industry standard security and compliance best practices
Collaborating with customers to understand development tooling needs
Research, design, and implement enabling solutions at enterprise scale to create efficiencies for all development teams
Research, evaluate and recommend new software distribution and deployment systems and initiatives
Work with Product Management to perform proof of concepts (MVPs), create and present proposals to leadership
Collect, generate, and analyze innovative ideas and technologies to use across the enterprise
Driving automation and autonomy initiatives
Stay abreast of new technologies, concepts, approaches and security and compliance best practices
Develop and deliver professional proposals and design documentation
Develop and communicate standard operating procedures and functional design specifications
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Senior Level Software or Build Engineer 3+ years of experience with proven experience as a technology-oriented leader
Software development and engineering 10+ years of experience
Strong leadership, communication, and execution capabilities
Gitlab, GitHub or other modern version control systems, minimum of 5 years’ experience
Experience with automation tooling such as Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Puppet or Chef
Experienced problem solver, strong collaborator, and able to provide clarity around complex topics to a diverse audience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a Software Developer within a DevSecOps environment
Experience with Nexus or other modern artifact management systems
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Experience with Lean, Agile, or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Assertive personality, interpersonal, action and outcome-driven leadership

BA/BS Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred

Expected base salary: $165,000 to $230,000
