As an Aerospace Apps Software Engineer II, you will join a team of passionate software platform engineers, responsible for building and maintaining distributed services and UIs for tracking component engineering parts lifecycle, test results and maintaining the models, dashboards and metrics used daily by our avionics electrical engineers to design custom hardware. This role will propel the reliable operation of the company and strengthen the value of automation and data-driven decision making in modern aerospace. Deeply comprehend our customers' problems and work to address them Passionate about data quality and trust Balance the needs of various customers - from compliance and standardization with those who require easy to use solution and speed Data storytelling and visualization knowledge with a demonstrable record of driving adoption through crafting products and dashboards people want to use Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable reporting, dashboards and RESTful services using Python, Typescript, SQL, Tableau, and other tools Participate in development of automated processes to integrate disparate systems to generate engineering level reporting Develop scalable SQL queries to satisfy self-service and ad-hoc requirements Develop analytical data models that support standardized metrics Develop and maintain documentation, run books, data dictionaries and guides Collaborate with executive partners and program management to identify and build metrics that enable organizations to spot issues and react accordingly Work with partners and domain specialists to generate reporting, application, and integration requirements Maintain day-to-day workflow and communication with a variety of partners across the company Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience Demonstrated ownership of services or internal products Back-end expertise: Creating web servers & APIs with Python and/or other server-side web frameworks (e.g. Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Express, Django, Flask, etc), fetching data from APIs (REST & GraphQL) Front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6, Typescript, JSX, React), UX/UI design, data visualization, front-end styling frameworks such as Tailwind, Material UI, Bootstrap, etc. Database proficiency: Writing complex SQL database queries with many joins in highly normalized databases, designing normalized database schemas Excellent written communication and presentation skills Analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills Familiarity using version control to check in production code in a shared repository Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion Self-starter,
