Blue Origin LLC Additive Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in Seattle, Washington

As part of a small team of Technicians, you will support multiple additive manufacturing systems as well as ancillary equipment to maintain Blue Origin's launch vehicle programs. This position serves as an essential role in the Additive Manufacturing department in the maintenance and support of additive machinery and is a vital component of the AM Ecosystem. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities: Maintain and improve additive manufacturing machines that maximizes part quality, machine up-time and production throughput. Meet both quality and schedule expectations. Track related consumable supplies and alert responsible personnel if additional supplies required (procurement and maintenance of powders, hand tooling, build plates, process gas quality, filters, etc.) Collaborate with team on AM process improvements and process document generation. Follow standardized file systems, traceability documentation for all machine related repair/anomaly reported incidents. Maintain all AM ancillary equipment and document accordingly. Additive Machine diagnostics and machine operation troubleshooting. Maintaining PPE and safety aware in a shop setting. Assist visiting vendor field service engineers during commissioning, service calls and machine upgrades such as software and hardware related upgrades. Identify JHA's (Job Hazard Analysis) and author JHA's. Practice safe work place techniques. Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! 1-3 years of hands on maintenance experience (spacecraft, airplanes, cars/trucks, boats) Understanding of AM Metallic machine operations from machine flips to daily general maintenance task such as filter replacements. Mechanically inclined in basic and advanced shop skills. Detail oriented. FOD experienced. Clean as you go experience in a shop environment. 5S experienced. Possesses the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication Demonstrated track record of resourcefulness from their previous assignments. Experienced in multi-tasking and cross training into new roles. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
