Closes 30-Nov-2024 (PST) Public Works Seaside, OR, USA \$ 25.99-\$ 31.59 per hour Hourly Full Time Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Vacation, and Four Floating Holidays (+Birthday Off Performs a variety of duties in support of the receipt, processing, and record-keeping functions of the Public Works Department; provides information, assistance, and exceptional customer services to those making inquiries with the Public Works Department; provides backup support for the Community Development Department; does related work as required. Attendance at public meetings after hours to take minutes or assist in meeting production may be required. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Ability to deal effectively with contractors, engineers, architects, and the general public; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; work both independently and as a team member; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and others. * Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., with the ability to quickly learn new software as needed. * Ability to accurately proofread and correct others\' work when necessary. * Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others while also representing the City positively. * Strong organizational skills and ability to keep files organized and easily accessible. * Regular attendance and punctuality. o Ability to operate a calculator, phone, personal computer, copy machines, fax machine, credit card machine, and 10-key calculator.
