Mentor less experienced drafters through the product development process. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft working drawings from design development sketches

  • Draft architectural Redline Markups and Plan Revisions

  • Apply all company drafting standards and processes to daily work

  • Ensure quality control on all work completed

  • Self-monitor quality control on all work produced

  • Develop complete construction document sets for city submittal and bidding purposes

  • Maintain construction documents as assigned

  • Responsible for the more technical aspects of drawings

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to Production Manag

  • Communicates assigned task schedules daily to direct supervisor

  • Mentors/directs less experienced staff

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • Associate degree in Drafting or bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management preferred- Extensive knowledge and work experience in residential construction may reduce or replace this requirement

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Related functional experience: minimum 3-5 years AutoCAD operations experience (specific knowledge of current version of AutoCAD Architecture required)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes, procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction, including understanding plans and specifications

  • Effective communication and organization skills

  • Software Skills - Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit required
