Responsibilities Job Summary Utilizing advanced clinical skills, the Electrophysiology Specialist assists the Electrophysiology (EP) physician in the performance of diagnostic EP, mapping and ablation procedures, in roles that involves scrub assist, monitoring hemodynamics, and pacing/recording using EP recording systems and documeting in the EMR Independently demonstrates the ability to utilize evidence-based clinical knowledge to assist the EP physician with the diagnoses and treatment plan of the electrophysiology patient through the set up and operation of the diagnostic and treatment devices in the electrophysiology suite. Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to recommend and maintain the supply chain of products in the EP suite. Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to train and monitor the performance of all personnel working in the EP suite. Remains current with the organization's regulatory standards and CMS regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree Associates Degree from an accredited Radiology Program, or a graduate from a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician program or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Required Experience <10 months Cath/EP Lab experience Required Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS Training Course C Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ACLS Required American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) ARRT Licensure OR Required Clinical Other\RCIS - Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Upon Hire Required Clinical Other\RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)within 1 year of promotion or hire Required
