The Hartford Damage Assist Representative - Commercial Property in Scottsdale, Arizona

The Hartford’s Commercial Property Claim Center (CPC) is looking for experienced structural damage estimators to support our claim representatives and provide service to our customers alike. The ideal candidate will have the experience outlined below and will work with customers, contractors, network vendors and teammates to provide accurate and timely structural damage estimates and assessment. Responsibilities:

  • Perform virtual evaluation of commercial structural damages nationwide

  • Document all claim activity to support the claim file

  • Comply with all internal and external reporting requirements

  • Create high level of policyholder satisfaction by complying with standards for timeliness of contact, follow-up, payments, and Unfair Claim Practice Act

  • Perform other related job duties as directed or needed, such as providing immediate response and service in emergency and catastrophe situations

  • Utilize computerized software applications for writing and reviewing building damage estimates

    Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of first party commercial & residential property (structural) claim estimating required

  • Demonstrated high level of performance in current or past roles

  • Experience writing structural damage estimates using computerized software applications required, Xactimate is preferred

  • Proficiency in construction estimating and repair techniques a plus

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Computer literacy and strong keyboard skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be available for catastrophe (CAT) assistance

Additional Information:

  • This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Scottsdale, AZ, and Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

  • For full-time, occasional, part-time, or remote positions: (1) high speed broadband internet service is required, we do not recommend or support DSL, wireless, Mifi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem and Satellite; (2) Internet provider supplied modem/router/gateway is hardwired to the Hartford issued computer with an ethernet cable; and (3) minimum upload/download speeds of 5Mbps/30Mbps will be required.   • You must obtain and maintain a State Adjuster's License to process Property & Casualty Insurance Claims in the states supported by your office. You will be required to successfully pass the Licensing exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the licensing training, where applicable.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$62,080 - $93,120
