Missile Defense Agency SECURITY SPECIALIST in Schriever AFB, Colorado

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). For more information please see: AcqDemo Responsibilities As a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the NH-0080-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Make access eligibility determinations in accordance with DOD and agency personnel security nomination processes. Develop and evaluate a full-range of program security documents, policies and procedures and coordinates implementation Oversee and evaluate contractor locations providing security guidance and policy interpretation. Conduct security program reviews to foster collaboration and to validate contractor compliance with security regulations and contract obligations. Think critically to solve problems. Communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately to senior leaders orally and in writing. Author staff action packages for agency decisions. Provide security guidance pertaining to the protection of advanced technology. Apply procedural security and protection methods that provide solutions to complex problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-03 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the ((NH-02/GS-11) grade level in the Federal service as listed below, meeting 3 of the 4 following statements Experience in managing multi-level security programs for acquisition programs; Experience in accrediting classified facilities in accordance with the Intelligence Community Technical Specifications; Experience in implementing comprehensive program protection structures to protect advanced technologies; Experience in Special Access Program (SAP) information, physical, industrial, operations, and personnel security principles and policies Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
