SERVICE FIRST STAFFING Estimator/Compliance Specialist in SCHOFIELD, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Estimating and Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting both customer engagement and compliance initiatives within our company. This position collaborates with customers and internal teams to develop accurate estimates, review technical specifications, and ensure manufacturability. Additionally, it helps manage compliance requirements related to various regulatory standards (e.g., Prop65, REACH, RoHS). Estimating and Project Coordination Develops detailed quotes for new parts and projects, considering current market pricing and manufacturing capacity. Reviews and updates quotes on existing orders after 90 days, ensuring accuracy. Engages with customers to clarify technical specifications, product requirements, and manufacturability. Works closely with internal manufacturing teams to discuss project scopes, cost estimates, capacity, and lead times. Acts as a liaison between customers, and the manufacturing department to drive project development, and implementation. Fluent and comfortable using Excel (VERY IMPORTANT for quoting and data analysis, as well as SolidWorks for basic drawings and design requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Compliance Management Collaborates with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Prop65, REACH, RoHS, and others. Collects, audits, and maintains records of chemical data to verify compliance and meet customer protocols. Communicates with suppliers regarding compliance standards and required documentation, keeping all records up-to-date. Physical Demands and Work Environment Office environment within a manufacturing company. Prolonged sitting and frequent use of a computer and other office-related equipment. Ability to traverse the shop floor and other facilities. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Driving for short periods of time as needed. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred. 3 years recent and relevant work experience preferred. Working knowledge of production scheduling processes. Strong working knowledge of design tools and programs including Solidworks.
