JOB REQUIREMENTS: EP Estimating Manager I - EPEST006574 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES Position Summary As the Estimating Manager WAUSAU, WI for our Metal systems, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the implementation and completion of all estimation activities within the assigned location(s)/region, including coaching and developing the Estimation team to meet company standards and goals. This position can be both player and coach to ensure that the team is delivering quotes in an accurate and timely manner to meet our customer expectations, support our production capacities and allow us to win in the market * Ensure detailed estimates are provided to our customers in a timely manner (within 24 hours). Drive accuracy within the team to work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs. Follow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levels. * Provide excellent customer service on all orders, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction * Work with operations to ensure that all proper inventory is in stock to service customers in an ever-changing market * Oversee the consultation, coordination, and support to our customers, sales force and internal OBE teams. * Monitor the creation of cost proposals for customers based on take-offs, using our price book or vendor quoted pricing and computer software. * Collaborate with regional operations, regional estimating manager, and finance to set margin/pricing/metric targets for the team and ensure they are achievable and align with company strategy. * Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, demonstrate empathy, and be an advocate for the customer. * Ensure the team builds and maintains a broad knowledge of clients, products, and services of the organization. * Communicate, manage, and motivate the estimation team to achieve their goals. Provide training to the team to improve their skills and knowledge. * Coordinate and collaborate with other regions and peers in establishing best in class estimation practices and processes. * Ensure accurate data entry of phoned, faxed, and e-mailed quotes and orders in accordance with cut off times and other time constraints that may exist.
