    Summary of Position

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager for the US Market to lead our team of Business Development Representatives. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our customer base and enhancing the performance of the sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the team's development and performance, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

    Essential Functions And Responsibilities

    Team Leadership & Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.

  • Lead, motivate, mentor, recruit, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives.

  • Establish performance metrics and regularly evaluate team members' progress.

  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

    Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new customers and expand market presence.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure the team meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly sales targets.

    Lead Management:

  • Coordinate with marketing to align lead generation efforts with sales objectives.

  • Support the team in qualifying leads and setting up meetings (virtual and in-person).

    Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects.

  • Handle escalations and complex customer inquiries or issues.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching, training and development opportunities for the team.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to inform training content and sales strategies.

    Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Develop action plans based on data analysis to drive sales performance.

    Customer Service:

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Provide ongoing support to clients to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.

  • Represent the ePac brand in a positive manner

    Experience And Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques and best practices.

  • Experience in the flexible packaging industry or related manufacturing sectors preferred.

    Work Environment

    This position is based out of our Chicago location.
