Job Description Summary

In this role the product quality engineers assist in the planning, development, implementation, communication and maintenance of the quality management systems, polices, documentation, data, and customer- specific requirements for GE Wind Turbines. The candidate will be working across various business functions to ensure that our products are safe, dependable, and meet customer expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

The Quality Process Engineer will:

  • Functionally own all aspects of Quality including but not limited to:

  • Development of quality planning for the units in the cell.

  • Ensure that executed processes meet the requirements of the site's QMS

  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement activities

  • Maintain our QMS systems and documentation.

  • Manage nonconformances: Document, manage, and monitor nonconformances

  • Track and trend Quality defects, and lead projects to reduce or eliminate.

  • Ensure that employees are trained to the proper quality standard and that safety requirements are met throughout the production process

  • Maintain both Quality Assurance and Quality Control of products, manufacturing processes and sourced components within the Cell.

  • Be accountable for all Cell Quality KPI’s (Severe Events, Escapes, and CoPQ), and develop strategies for improvement. Provide the Quality updates at all Cell QMR’s and reviews.

  • Proficient use of Quality systems (Power Now, Fiori, Documentum, Quality Suite, MBA Viewer).

  • Participate in Root Cause investigations and develop Corrective and Preventative Actions for identified Quality issues (RCA).

  • Perform Internal Audits, and document and resolve Audit findings. Represent Cell during ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Audits.

  • Works closely with cross functional teams: Production, Sourcing, Engineering, and Customer representatives, to quickly resolve Quality issues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or quality position or relevant military experience).

  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing quality role.

The salary range for this position is $90,400.00 - $150,600.00 USD Annual The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this role has variable compensation incentive of 10%.
