Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs for designated area(s). Responsible for hands on material management by project. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage material from order requisition through delivery to the production line from the warehouse. Work with operations team on daily production schedule requirements and what material is needed to keep schedules on-track. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Responsible for material consumption to WIP and tracking inventory of own parts between warehouse, factory and on WIP.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 2 years in manufacturing, operations, or material planning OR High school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or material planning.

Desired Characteristics

  • SAP experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and execute deliverables cross functionally every day.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.

The salary range for this position is $90,400 - $100,000 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10 % variable incentive compensation.
