Maintenance Planner

Schenectady, NY

(Onsite) Monday – Friday 7:30am -4:00pm

Annual Salary Range – $55,000 - $69,000

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range DSM expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.

Salary MIN – MID

As a Maintenance Planner, you will plan and schedule maintenance activities with your in depth understanding of CMMS systems for our Human Nutrition and Health (HNH) facility in the Premix organization of our facility. Your labor, material planning and excellent communication skills are required in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping. That will increase plant productivity, assist in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies, and increase plant performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all plant site fire system inspections/repairs, and for leading state inspection.

  • Lead and coordinate contractor activities for site Facilities and Maintenance. Including: Site walk throughs, obtaining quotes, requesting PO’s, coordinating between site and contractor to perform work, and ensuring timely payment.

  • Communicate with employees on disruptive work scheduled in their area.

  • Support year order POs at the end of each year for the following year for contractors related to maintenance function.

  • Serve as support for CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to support the sites. Serve as support for CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to support the sites. accurately maintained.

    You Bring :

  • High School Diploma. Associate degree is a plus.

  • 5 years’ maintenance planner experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 2+ years’ maintenance experience. 1 year of manufacturing a plus.

  • Need general parts, electrical, and mechanical equipment understanding in manufacturing.

  • Good with technology and computerized systems including CMMS, M/S office and advanced EXCEL skills. Experience with SAP/SRM, Fiix, Ariba a plus.

  • OSHA knowledge beneficial and OSHA certification a plus.

  • Good math, oral/written communication skills and social skills.
