Qualifications you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in economics with 2 years of experience in healthcare, with focus on healthcare research.

• Advanced knowledge of Federal, NY and VT provider reimbursement methodologies and innovation programs.

• Advanced knowledge of FACETS claims processing system and Provider billing and coding practices.

• Advanced knowledge of custom fee schedules and implications of changing fee schedules in trends.

• Comprehensive working knowledge of health care data including but not limited to claim data, pharmacy data, clinical data, provider billing practices and lab data.

• Ability to independently research and learn any other required data source needed to perform job duties.

• Comprehensive knowledge of and experience working with New York and Vermont health care market data with demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge to drive innovative ideas and problem statements for discovery.

• Comprehensive knowledge of capitation and alternative payment models.

• Demonstrated ability to independently draw inferences from data and develop recommendations/solutions to solve key business problems.

• High level of Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Powerbi, Powerpoint. High level of Proficiency in SQL.

Your key responsibilities:

• MVP Service Corp dba MVP Health Care (Schenectady, NY) seeks a Lead Strategic Health Care Economics Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Health Care Economics, the Lead Strategic Health Care Economics Analyst will serve as the lead technical resource to advance strategic priorities identified for this team.

• Work independently or with various business stakeholders as needed to scope the initiative, conduct needed research, determine required data and resources to achieve desired objective and then implement and iterate as needed to achieve desired objective.

• Directly responsible for development, evaluation, and maintenance of the Primary Care Capitation models as well as any further advancement in the company's alternative payment models.

• Collaboration with the team leader, peers and key stakeholders across the organization.

• Act as a team lead for projects and serve as a resource for others in the organization.

• Conduct market research, document key findings, apply knowledge to business problem.

• Validation of data, data models and reporting for accuracy and soundness.

• Research and query multiple data sources, manipulate large sets of data using appropriate tool.

• Identify and implement the most efficient solution for the business problem with forward thinking mindset to leverage automation and efficiency.

• Leverage AI, Machine Learning or Statistical software where appropriate to advance analytics.

• Actively seek to draw inferences from the data to drive actionable insights/strategic discussions.

• Actively challenge the status quo and find a better way.

• Present Finding, Model or Report to Business/Leadership effectively and persuasively.

• Manage multiple priorities and deliver in timely manner.

• Active learning of MVP's data assets, products, markets to enable applying business mindset to decision making and reporting solutions.
