Rachel Miller at Robert Half is partnering on an Accounts Receivable Clerk. The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling customer accounts, processing financial transactions, and maintaining financial records. The position is based in SCHENECTADY, New York, and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer billing through QuickBooks and ensure efficient handling of receivables.

• Regularly monitor customer accounts and follow up on past due accounts to ensure timely payment.

• Prepare and process deposits from incoming check payments and daily deposit postings.

• Apply payments to QuickBooks and the point-of-sale system to keep records updated.

• Answer customer inquiries regarding billing and resolve any issues promptly.

• Provide interdepartmental support where needed and assist customer service with answering incoming customer calls.

• Process credit card payments and maintain a record of all transactions.

• Regularly update management with weekly AR Aging reports to keep them informed about the status of accounts receivable.

• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
