As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clerical and office support at Shawnee State Park. Your duties will include acting as a receptionist, warmly greeting visitors, and addressing any inquiries they may have about the park's facilities and activities. You will also be responsible for providing the public with detailed information about various accommodations, such as camping cottages, yurts, campsites, the Lakeside Lodge, an organized group tenting area, a beach, trails, and pavilions. If there are any questions regarding park rules and regulations, you will either answer them directly or refer visitors to the park ranger or manager for further assistance. Additionally, you will be expected to provide visitors with information about local attractions and events, ensuring they have a memorable experience during their stay.

In addition to your receptionist duties, you will also be responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with the Bedford County Visitor's Bureau. This will involve exchanging information and publications to promote the park and its offerings. As part of your clerical work, you will utilize your computer word processing skills to process a variety of documents. This will include verifying information and performing calculations as necessary. Your typing skills will be put to use as you accurately and efficiently type correspondence, reports, transactions, and other similar documents. Before these documents are reviewed, distributed, or approved, you will carefully proofread them to ensure they are free from grammatical and typographical errors. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time, Seasonal employment without benefits, 37.5-hour work week This position performs in a seven (7) day a week operation and may be scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
