VCA Schaumburg Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our leadership team as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor !

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation: $25 - 32 / hour. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

As the Veterinary Technician Supervisor , you will play a key role in overseeing daily hospital operations, mentoring technicians and assistants, and ensuring excellence in patient care. This position is ideal for a technician who is passionate about leadership, training, and driving a positive hospital culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the veterinary technician and assistant team.

• Oversee the training and development of new and existing team members.

• Assist in scheduling, performance reviews, and team meetings.

• Maintain and implement hospital protocols

• Support patient care by performing advanced technician skills, including anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, and diagnostics.

• Work collaboratively with the hospital leadership team to enhance efficiency and workflow.

• Directing workflow on the floor

• Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture

• Help with the interview process for potential new hires

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
