Lift Power Inc Service Technician Apprentice in Savannah, Georgia

Learn and develop an understanding of customer satisfaction by performing repair and maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment that meets or exceeds customers’ expectations. Respond to customers in a timely, polite, and professional manner, and conduct work with an efficiency that will contribute to the reputation, growth, and profit of Lift Power Inc. This is a developmental position with the expectation that the candidate will be able to work quickly and efficiently on their own within a 2-year time frame with little assistance from experienced technicians.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote an atmosphere of good will and accountability between the company and the customer by acting in a professional, efficient manner

  • Communicate with the Service Department to clarify job assignments when necessary

  • Analyze and diagnose customer equipment problems and breakdowns as scheduled by the dispatcher or supervisor and with guidance from service and lead technicians

  • Confirm the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problem.

  • Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications with guidance from the Service Manager, Supervisor, and lead and service technicians to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the customer’s equipment

  • Communicate with Service Department regarding part requirements or unexpected service delays

  • Efficiently perform scheduled equipment maintenance or per customer contract

  • Follow all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company

  • Accurately and neatly document each service call and provide the necessary paperwork

  • Observe all safety procedures

  • Properly dispose of hazardous waste

Requirements

  • Ability to perform strenuous and heavy work

  • Can exert force up to 100 lbs on occasion and frequently handle loads up to 50 lbs

  • Physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting, reaching, etc
