It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. CATACEL SSR™ is a structured reforming catalyst that enables increased throughput and process intensification of conventional Steam Methane Reformers, demonstrated in Refineries Hydrogen, Methanol and Ammonia businesses. SSR has proven life cycle performance in large industrial applications. The technology has been in use globally since 2008. Equipment to manufacture the product has been commissioned, however the Operations Team, Site level procedures and systems (Finance/ERP/Logistics) have not yet been fully set up. A significant part of the role is therefore to establish a permanent manufacturing team and processes.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and coordinating production resources: people, machines, materials. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge of CATACEL Technology Mechanical Process Equipment, using this to provide notification to R&D and Maintenance functions in the event of deviations from normal specifications or operations. Further, providing troubleshooting and implementing simple corrections to equipment setup and operation. The Production Supervisor directly supervises the CATACEL Production team and is responsible for day-to-day shop floor operation and team cohesion
Your Responsibilities:
Ensure all EHS standards are maintained in production operations
Supervise production, welding and maintenance operations, deciding work priorities, planning schedules, revising plans for changing situations and creating a list of operator duties
Evaluate the work of production and maintenance in progress and upon work completion
Conduct formal and informal training on production tasks and use of tools and equipment
Gain willing cooperation and create a good team spirit.
Understand the motives of production staff in order to sustain interest and motivation to achieve production targets
Make decisions on own initiative and in conjunction with others, notifying R&D and Maintenance functions of problems as necessary
Listens to grievances, resolve disputes and reduce tension between people, handling disciplinary actions when needed
Estimate numbers, quantity, time, and the rate of progress projects will take to prepare cost or time estimates to management
Set up, repair and adjust equipment, training others to do so
Provides in process sign-off on product conformance to quality specifications
Take on any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Requirements for the role:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience leading and providing direction to a team
Use of hand-held measuring tools (calliper, micrometer, ruler)
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Basic computer skills, including data entry, are required
Mechanical/Electrical troubleshooting ability desirable
Fabrication experience desirable
Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) on a regular and consistent basis
