The Vision Care business unit of Bausch + Lomb is primarily focused on contact lenses and lens care solutions which address patients’ every day eye conditions and also include specific conditions, such as; Myopia, Hyperopia, Astigmatism, and Presbyopia. Responsibilities

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a high performing Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of 9-10 Vison Territory Managers (VTM) selling to both independent and retail affiliated Eye Care Practitioners (ECP) in the Atlanta/Charleston SC region, with a relentless focus on driving revenue growth by way of; exceptional sales execution, personnel development through coaching, and strengthening customer partnerships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet/exceed the region sales quota and key execution metrics established by sales leadership for the given region

  • Coach and manage VTMs to effectively conduct sales calls with ECPs and move business forward by using marketing materials, programs and selling techniques to increase share of Bausch + Lomb contact lens prescriptions and lens care recommendations

  • Develop region business plans that create sustainable growth trajectories with consideration of investment and financial impact for both customers and Bausch + Lomb

  • Effectively manage ongoing VTM sales performance by accelerating top achievers and quickly addressing territories performing below expectations

  • Develop and leverage key stakeholder relationships with customers, distributors and regional trade opinion leaders

  • Demonstrate technical proficiency and clinical knowledge of all Bausch + Lomb Vision Care products as well as competitive products; both self and team

  • Utilize Salesforce.com to document VTM co-travels and create individual coaching continuums as well as development plans

  • Attend National and Regional sales meetings and trade shows as needed

  • Manage effectively all variable resource budgets at region level

  • Ensure all administrative reports for self and team are submitted on a timely basis (call logging, expense reports, etc.)

  • Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and procedures as well as to AdvaMed Guidelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; MBA preferred

  • 3+ years of healthcare sales management experience in addition to 7+ years of healthcare and/or B2B sales experience (eye health industry preferred) is required, along with a documented track record of success (attainment to goals, awards, formal recognition) in those roles

  • Outstanding leadership characteristics and ability to inspire a team

  • Strategic thinking and efficient decision-making capabilities

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proven success in personnel evaluation, hiring and continuous development

  • Reflects strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills across a variety of settings/channels

  • High aptitude for financial analysis and assimilation of complex information

  • Able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite of products and standard digital technology tools

  • Overnight travel up to 50%

  • Candidates should be physically able to perform all job duties which may necessitate: lifting sample boxes (up to 25 pounds); traveling by airplane and car, usually within the US; remaining in standing position for prolonged periods of time when giving presentations or lunches; and performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence, along with clean driving record
