Description We are looking for a Director of Commercial Finance to join our team in Sausalito, California. In this role, you will handle a wide array of financial analytical tasks, develop financial plans and metrics, and manage staff among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of sales trends in the beverage industry and use this knowledge to analyze performance metrics and build sales forecasts.

• Coordinate with the sales and production planning teams to develop a consistent demand outlook and monitor Sales & Operations planning KPIs.

• Assist with tracking compensation and bonuses, and measure performance against the plan.

• Administer and track pricing and discount allowances, and work with the sales & marketing teams to gather and analyze market insights.

• Understand the sources of costs and the cost structure within our supply chain to oversee product margin analysis and lead the profitability measurement process on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive new product costing and profitability analysis.

• Analyze inventory and provide insights for sales forecasting and margin analysis.

• Play a key role in the annual budget process, lead meetings with brand owners to develop plan drivers, assist with budget reviews, and build budget presentations.

• Leverage data models and participate in developing sales and financial plans.

• Improve data metrics and reporting, and develop partnerships across business functions to provide managerial insights and protect margins and cash.

• Manage a small team, ensuring significant individual contribution.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, such as Director of Commercial Finance or Senior Finance role.

• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with Accounting Software Systems.

• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Demonstrated ability in managing Annual Budget process.

• Experience in Auditing and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and legislation.

• Proficient in Budget Processes, including creation, management, and review.

• Experience in Sales Analysis & Reporting, and ability to translate complex data into understandable results.

• Understanding of Deductions in the context of commercial finance.

• Knowledge and experience in Market Pricing and Pricing Analysis.

• Demonstrated skills in Sales and Operations Planning.

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting, and ability to create financial models.

• Proficiency in Forecasting & Modeling techniques.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization tools like Tableau and QlikView.

• Experience with financial software such as Essbase, Anaplan, Planful, and OneStream.

• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA would be a plus.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
