In this role, you'll be at the heart of our logistics process, ensuring smooth handling and organization of materials. Pay Rate: $18 per hour Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing warehouse inventory and ensuring efficient operations. You'll use your skills to operate forklifts and other equipment to move and organize materials safely and effectively. Primary Responsibilities: Adhere to all safety standards and procedures. Receive instructions from the Shipping/Receiving Lead to guide your shift. Continuously assess and manage storage space for incoming goods. Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks to move products and materials. Transport materials from the receiving area to the warehouse. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and order fulfillment tasks such as banding and shrink-wrapping. Verify accuracy and quality of stored products. Check incoming materials for compliance with code requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Cross-train with production material handlers as needed. Report mechanical or electrical issues as required. Qualifications and Skills: High School diploma or GED. Experience in shipping/receiving and operating forklifts (stand-up, sit-down), pallet jacks, and order pickers. Ability to work independently with excellent attendance. Capability to perform repetitive tasks and follow detailed instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete on-site forklift training. Customer-focused with strong teamwork skills.
