Galarneau Builders is seeking a Residential Construction / Light commercial / Remodeling Estimator or Assistant Estimator to join our growing team.About Us: Galarneau Builders is a full-service contractor with over 43 years of building experience. We are committed to fully understanding each client’s unique needs and desires while offering them the assistance and guidance necessary to exceed their expectations.Residential Construction Estimator Primary Responsibilities:Travel to prospective job site, plan out and estimate potential costs upon first meeting.Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.Working with clients to completely understand the scope of work and project at hand.Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.Writes up and presents proposal's, budgets, reports, and project plans.Develops bids for construction projects.Works closely with architects and all other professionals.Prepares plans with draftsmen for approval by clients.Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.Navigates and understands building codes.Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required.Monitors construction processes with project manager.Stays up to date with techniques, safety codes and improvements in construction.Residential Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications:Ability to navigate specifications and plans into proposals.Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.Knowledge of the latest building codes.Close attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to commute to and from Saratoga Springs, NY and surrounding areas for jobs.

Minimum Salary: 52000 Maximum Salary: 65000 Salary Unit: Yearly
