Perform daily radio reads and manual reads for billing purposes.
Complete assigned work orders, including meter readings, verification, and turn on/turn off tasks.
Conduct light maintenance on meter boxes, including replacing lids and clearing debris.
Raise, lower, or replace meter boxes, and address meter tampering or inaccuracies.
Replace water meter registers and transmitters as required.
Report daily activities and communicate any changes with the supervisor.
Track accurately any input codes for billing inquiries and report discrepancies.
Provide great customer service and assist with general customer inquiries in the field.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday
7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
*On-Call Required
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
One (1) year of experience in the care and maintenance of plumbing, irrigation, or pool trade .
Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else:
Starting Pay: $17.72 (Step 1)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
