Responsibilities

::: {#win0divHRSSCHWRKDESCR100grp$1} ::: {#win0divHRSSCHPSTDSCDESCRLONG$1} This role typically:

• Performs a variety of work to maintain all buildings on campus such as pressure washing, painting, inspecting buildings/equipment to ensure good and safe operating conditions.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces mechanical and plumbing systems/devices.
• Generates, responds, and updates work order system once per day regarding progress and/or upon completion of assignments.
• Performs routine servicing of mechanical and plumbing systems as part of the preventative maintenance program.

As needed this role:

• Assists with emergency and or special Facilities maintenance projects.
• Remains on-call during designated periods outside normal working hours.
  • While on-call, the candidate may be required to return to the work site to respond to maintenance emergencies.
• Provides basic support to staff Telecommunications Specialist with installation and telecommunication devices repair.
• Performs other duties and assists with special events as assigned. ::: ::: ::: :::

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge or skills such as:
  • Carpentry
  • Commercial painting
  • Commercial plumbing
  • Basic electrical
  • HVAC
  • or other related trades work.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders/use lifts, walk significant distances and work in small spaces.
• Teamwork and communication skills.

Education

• Two years of relevant experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
  • (Note: A technical or vocational degree can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
• HS diploma or GED

If hired, candidate must obtain a lift certification within year of hire and be physically able and willing to operate an aerial lift, forklift, etc. All training would be provided by The Ringling. ::: ::: ::: :::
