Are you someone who loves numbers, technology, and enjoys creating solution? Pampano Trailhead Park is in need of a Business Operations and Park Specialist to join the Central Processing team. In this role you will be responsible for reservations for multiple park facilities, processing financial transactions and assisting community members and parkgoers. This position starts out paying between $21.63 - $24.00/hr, based on experience, and benefits begin within 60 days of hire. In this role you will exhibit strong technical and administrative skills, demonstrating high proficiency in systems and electronic controls utilized daily, (for example: RecTrac, MUSCO/Skylogix, and CCURE). Responsibilities include interpreting policy and procedures, conducting research, and performing data collection as well as responding to customer inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer communication.   • Process facility user permits, activity registrations, refunds, reconciliations, and other financial transactions.

  • Manage facility use calendars and prioritize reservations for multiple park facilities; including Athletic Fields, park picnic shelters and open spaces.

  • Compose correspondence regarding customer accounts, department policies, procedures, and other information.

  • Ensure accurate information is distributed to the public.

  • Identify urgency of customer communications, respond in an appropriate time frame via phone, email, and/or in-person interaction, and use conflict resolution and/or problem-solving strategies, as needed.

  • Serve as a “super user” for systems including RecTrac (recreation software), CCURE (door access) and MUSCO/Skylogix (light control system). Interact with vendors to resolve system issues.

  • Collect payment and issue receipts/permits for business transactions.

  • Follow department procedures, guidelines and/or policies regarding cash handling procedures in the collection, processing, and deposit of payments.

  • Help manage the accounts payables, refunds, returned insufficient funds and uncollectable debt.

  • Assist with the daily operation and oversight of assigned location, ensuring clean and safe parks.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Occasional nights and weekends may be required, based upon scheduled events.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent and three (3) years of experience in construction/maintenance, or in a related field.

  • Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.

Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

  • Lead or supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of parks and recreation operations and RecTrac or other recreation software preferred.

  • Coordination and monitoring of customer accounts.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented.

  • Ability to communicate accurately and clearly to both customers both internal and external.

  • Ability to handle difficult customers situations.

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively, efficient time management.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with other.

  • Ability to juggle competing priorities, time management skills.

  • Knowledge of cash handling/deposits.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Professional, RecTrac (or similar reservation software) and Smartsheet.

  • Knowledge of modern office procedures, practices and equipment.

  • Uses sound independent judgment problem solving and decision-making skills.

Starting Pay Range: $21.63 - $24.00, based on experience
