Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator with experience in EPIC, the leading electronic health records (EHR) system, to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by managing administrative and clinical workflows, leveraging EPIC software to streamline operations, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This position requires a compassionate, organized professional with exceptional communication skills and a thorough understanding of EPIC functionalities to support efficient and patient-centered services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate patient care activities, including scheduling, intake, and follow-up appointments.

  • Utilize EPIC EHR to manage patient records, update medical histories, and ensure data accuracy.

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and healthcare providers to streamline communication and enhance service delivery.

  • Monitor and address patient inquiries, referrals, and authorizations through EPIC messaging systems.

  • Train new staff members on basic EPIC functionalities and workflows as necessary.

  • Collaborate with clinical teams to maintain accurate documentation and support compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Monitor appointment schedules and workflows using EPIC to avoid conflicts or delays.

  • Create and analyze EPIC-generated reports to ensure quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in patient care or medical administration.

  • Proficiency in EPIC EHR software is required, with certifications (e.g., EPIC Ambulatory, EPIC Cadence) seen as a strong asset.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.

  • Experience collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to enhance operational efficiency.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or degrees in healthcare administration, nursing, or related fields are preferred.
