About the Role & Team

Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within the Disney Entertainment segment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.

At Disney’s DTC, data is central to measuring all aspects of the business, and critical to its operations and growth. Within DTC’s Business Operations function, the Executive Reporting & Business Insights team is tasked with synthesizing and delivering compelling executive reporting, insights, narratives, and materials that inform Disney Entertainment DTC and TWDC executive leadership for key decision making and performance tracking. We are responsible for working across DTC and other TWDC teams to keep a holistic view of the business activities and performance. We are the Center of Excellence for setting and upholding standards for reporting practices across DTC and our partners.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations and Executive Reporting, the Executive Reporting Operations Manager will be the cross-functional implementation expert for our team. This role ensures the delivery of consistent, high-quality, and accurate reporting tools for the President of DTC and service leaders, including hyper care reports for key business and product launches, as well as daily and weekly updates and dashboards. The Executive Reporting Operations Manager will oversee the requirements for executive reporting and operational data products, collaborating with Data, Engineering, Finance, PMO, and Analytics teams to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include building and maintaining the reporting roadmap, managing workflows for data and reporting requests, and optimizing reporting outputs. They will define milestones for launch reporting, coordinate cross-functional meetings, and establish frameworks for streamlined operations. Key responsibilities also include effective communication with executives, risk mitigation, and documentation of business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Launch Reporting

  • Manage requirements for Data, Engineering, and Analytics teams, ensuring timely delivery of executive reporting and operational data products.

  • Monitor the business launch roadmap to inform our annual reporting strategy, prioritize executive reporting efforts, and track interdependencies.

  • Define and oversee workflows for executive requests related to data fixes, products, and improvements for current and new reporting.

  • Proactively monitor executive reporting outputs—including automated reports and dashboards—and recommend optimizations for accuracy and alignment with business needs.

  • Supervise collaboration with Data Analytics and Data Visualization teams.

  • Provide data partners with organized documentation of business questions, requirements, metrics, and dimensions for planned reporting. Define and prioritize requirements.

  • Facilitate communication between Finance, Strategy, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure all data meets hyper-care reporting templates based on business case assumptions.

  • Establish milestones for reporting delivery and create a reverse schedule to meet launch deadlines, leveraging influence to achieve results across DTC teams.

  • Collaborate with other business units to ensure reporting alignment between DTC and segment leaders.

  • Develop frameworks to operationalize existing and new reporting, ensuring efficiency during peak launch periods.

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc cross-functional meetings for project initiatives, complete with agendas and objectives.

  • Communicate plans and expectations with executives to meet their needs effectively.

  • Identify delivery risks and escalate issues with the delivery plan as necessary.

  • Maintain current sources of truth resource materials to track projects from start to finish, accessible for both team and project working groups.

  • Executive Business Reporting Center of Excellence (COE)

  • Assist the Director in implementing frameworks to align reporting levels and frequencies with the importance of initiatives and launches.

  • Build and maintain systems for organizing, storing, and sharing knowledge and best practices throughout the organization.

  • Oversee the team archive of past insights, including contributions from other teams (e.g., data analytics, marketing), ensuring easy topic-based searchability.

  • Document and uphold quality standards across all reporting to provide a consistent experience for executive stakeholders.

  • Support weekly business-as-usual reporting processes and transitions.

  • Manage routine team processes, such as request intake and delivery, use of Airtable and other tools, and tracking team progress. Provide regular status updates for alignment and transparency.

Required Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience as a program or project manager in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Proficient in project management tools like Airtable and Slack integrations for optimal efficiency.

  • Skilled in G-Suite, particularly Google Sheets, Slides, and file organization.

  • Capable of managing multiple related and unrelated projects, effectively organizing and scheduling work.

  • Proven track record leading others in a matrixed environment to achieve project goals.

  • Experienced in communicating requirements for specific outcomes, with a focus on technical requirement gathering.

  • Committed to operational excellence, with a history of proposing and implementing scalable improvements.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, especially in developing presentation materials.

  • Adaptable to fast-paced, iterative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years working in a consultant capacity is a plus.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, California is $102,000-$137,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
