Established Manufacturing Engineering professional. Develops, designs and plans layouts. Plans the sequence of operations for fabrication tools to ensure excellent product performance. Applies scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.

What You Will Do

  • Adapts machine and equipment designs to factory and production standards.

  • Conducts detailed design work focused on the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.

  • Plans the sequence of operations and develops specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

  • Improves production methods, determines manufacturing capacity, and sets up production schedules.

  • May assist in developing time and cost estimates.

  • Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.

  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

  • Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.

  • Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge on Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

  • Basic knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
