We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our clients Team located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The person can work in either the Albuquerque or Santa Fe office.

• This is an onsite position with some flexibility as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing invoices and ensuring timely printing of checks.

• Maintaining vendor records including W-9 and certificates of insurance.

• Efficiently managing company credit card processing, coding, and department budgets.

• Performing bank reconciliation and transaction research.

• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee expense reports.

• Supporting payroll processing to ensure accurate transmission of payroll transactions.

• Analyzing employees' pay rates and verifying compliance with prevailing wage requirements.

• Assisting with year-end closing and performing annual 1099 reporting.

• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer credit applications.

• Identifying and recommending updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

• Recording journal entries and assisting in maintaining accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, specializing in Accounts Payable and Certified Payroll

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge or certification in Payroll, ideally Certified Payroll

• Familiarity with Prevailing Wage, Form 1099, Credit card accounting, Debit Credit, Journal Entries, and Journal Entry Preparation

• Experience with NetSuite software

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks
