Nvidia Senior Software Engineer, Robotics Manipulation in Santa Clara, California

Join NVIDIA's Solution Engineering team that is changing the future of autonomous machines. Our goal is to build and deploy scalable robotic solutions and enable the next generation of AI robots. Our team is hands-on, passionate about practical results, and values diversity. You will help craft the application software architecture by working closely with external partners developing on our robotics platform and the collaborations across multiple teams within NVIDIA working on autonomous machines. You will also advance and refine the overall functional quality of our solution, focusing on integration challenges and using your deep analytical skills to tease through the complexity of the system to find effective solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Shape the application architecture internally, with a focus on robotic manipulation, by collaborating closely with architecture and software development teams.

  • Scale the deployment and integration of robust and performant implementations of motion generation algorithms into solutions and products.

  • Integrate hardware and software components efficiently and build scalable software solutions. Conduct profiling, benchmarking and evaluation activities for verification.

  • Customize, reconfigure and rebuild processing pipelines in the software stack.

  • Collaborate with our global engineering teams in our US, APAC, and Europe locations to deploy the solution to our customers.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years of work related experience in software development related to robotics.

  • Bachelors or Masters in computer science, robotics, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated ability in the development of robust and efficient motion generation solutions.

  • Prior experience in application development and familiarity with robotics related middleware frameworks.

  • Excellent C/C++ development skills, good knowledge of Python and scripting languages.

  • Knowledgeable with various OS environments such as Linux, Android, or Real-time operating systems.

  • Ease of adapting to new technologies and platforms.

  • Ability to adapt to fast paced development lifecycles and multi-functional organizations.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Possess a passion for robotics and building production software

  • Experience with ROS 2, including ros2_control and MoveIt 2

  • Expertise in machine learning, computer vision, physics simulation, or computer graphics

  • Understanding of NVIDIA Isaac, NVIDIA GPU hardware, and CUDA

  • Contributions to or ownership of open-source project and mentorship experience.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
