Nvidia Senior Offensive Security Engineer – Data Center Systems  in Santa Clara, California

NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative engineer with experience in system software and a background in security to join the Server Platform Software team. You will focus on offensive security efforts for our Data Center Systems, such as NVIDIA HGX, DGX, and MGX.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify vulnerabilities in our Data Center Systems using both static and dynamic analysis

  • Fix bugs in close cooperation with our development teams.

  • Ensure the quality and robustness of our pre-release products

  • Evangelize tools, practices, and plans to increase product reliability and security

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 6+ years in a security engineering or vulnerability researcher role.4+ years of relevant software engineering experience

  • Exceptional C and assembly programming skills

  • Experience with software development lifecycle best practices, such as threat modeling, unit testing, regression testing, and code auditing.

  • Experience with secure coding practices and tooling, including static analysis tools such as Coverity and IKOS Checkmarx and dynamic analysis tools such as AFL, Peach, Bullseye, and LDRA.

  • Knowledgeable in modern server architecture, hypervisor security research, and firmware analysis

  • Effective written and verbal communication, regardless of audience or issue complexity

  • Ability to work collaboratively and remotely with others to accomplish complex goals

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience in reverse engineering and exploitation. Experience with penetration techniques and tools. Experience and familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing systems

  • Experience decomposing and completing complex technical tasks. Published CVEs, security analysis, or related work samples

  • You are an asset if you are familiar with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)

NVIDIA is looking for outstanding software engineers to help us expand our enterprise GPU management and monitoring tools. In this role, you will work closely with the broader NVIDIA team to design and build Linux-based management agents, Kubernetes integrations, and end-to-end integration solutions that combine GPUs with the rest of the datacenter software management ecosystem. We are focused on supporting NVIDIA products across HPC, cloud, and enterprise on both bare metal and virtualized platforms as the role of GPUs in all of these environments expands. Your contributions will span many aspects of GPU system integration, including telemetry and metrics, health checks, diagnostics, configuration, and system management. These tools fill roles of both passive background monitoring and active online management with a core emphasis on operational transparency and seamless integration in customer environments. Your code will support single-node developer systems through large clusters with thousands of nodes.

To succeed, you must have a strong Linux background, familiarity with modern distributed systems, and a proven work ethic. The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
