About the Role

As a CBRE Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for all Facilities' mechanical infrastructure systems. You will plan, design, develop, analyze, implement and maintain mechanical infrastructure systems, coordinate operations and functionalities of facilities and buildings.

This job is part of the Facilities Engineering division. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

This role is full-time and requires you to be onsite.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for campus wide mechanical infrastructure systems.

Oversee core mechanical systems including, but not limited to Mechanical/Process systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers, Dust Collectors, Clean Dry Air, Hot Water, Exhaust Air systems, Humidification systems, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Vacuum Pumps, HVAC systems, Boilers, Water Treatment, RO Systems, Fire Protection, valves, instrumentation, pumps, tanks, fab cleanroom operating parameters, and supporting systems.

Provide mechanical engineering design review input and approval for facility infrastructure and process tool installation projects.

Plan, schedule, and supervise Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities, priorities and reallocate resource when required, on mechanical equipment system under the responsibilities of Facilities organization. Lead and participate in equipment and system abnormalities root cause analysis, attend review meetings, provide updates, execute corrective and preventive action for continual improvement including installation and modification work on existing or new mechanical equipment and systems.

Take operational ownership of mechanical system design performance.

Provide mechanical engineering construction input and commissioning support for facility infrastructure projects.

Support as-build documentation of mechanical system layouts and P&ID's.

Maintain load/capacity studies for facility infrastructure systems.

Provide direction of air and water balancing services.

Drive design improvement of infrastructure system performance and up-time.

Work directly with contractors and service providers.

Perform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis during project design development phase.

Capital expense project financial management and EMS/BAS controls experience.

Be able to conduct conditional assessment for existing systems.

Ensure that all systems associated to all buildings are serviceable while minimizing down time for proper maintenance by in-house personnel and service providers.

Support internal 150 audits as needed.

Drive to customer/client sites in Northern bay. Bay area as needed. This person will mostly be working at the Santa Clara site, however, may need to drive to other locations as needed

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical engineering discipline or other appropriate specialty. and 10+ years of related experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Work experience meeting the CA Engineer-in Training reguirements Professional Engineer license, preferred

• Any 2 of the following certifications are required: EIT, PMP, OSHA, PE license.

Understanding of the following codes is a must: ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, Life Safety (as it.

pertains to mechanical equipment)

• Experience with design, specification, procurement installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment

• Knowledge of process PLC and commercial HVAC control systems

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking. climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.

Knowledge and proficiency with engineering software AUTOCAD, and REVIT related

assignments

In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel,

Outlook, etc. Proficient in Smartsneets, Bluebeam, and presentations

Experience with standard operating procedure creation and training skills

The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
