We are seeking an experienced and visionary to lead a core area of our Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering at Microsoft. This role is critical in driving the evolution and expansion of both our customer facing offerings Microsoft Entra Internet Access and Microsoft Entra Private Access as well as the underlying platform that powers these offerings. As the Group Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovation, shaping the future of cloud security solutions. Microsoft SASE solution enables access, protection and best user experience for any user to any resource of whether these destinations are in the cloud, or on-premises. In addition, this role will be responsible for driving our 3P Partner platform and Ecosystem. If you enjoy working on v1 products, engaging customers to learn and build capabilities that delight this could be the role for you. You will be expected to work closely with engineers to solve complex problems, attract/grow/manage a team of product managers and partner with your peers to drive customer insights and enable customer deployment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for Microsoft's Secure Access Service Edge offering, aligning with broader organizational goals and market demands.

  • Lead a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers to deliver innovative security solutions.

  • Drive the product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy in partnership with product marketing, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.

Product Development

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and post-launch optimization.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create intuitive, scalable, and high-performance security solutions.

  • Ensure product quality and performance through rigorous testing and feedback loops.

Customer and Market Insight:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the security landscape.

  • Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, driving continuous improvement.

  • Represent Microsoft at industry events and conferences, showcasing our Security Service Edge solutions.

Team and Stakeholder Management:

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across Microsoft to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress and performance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

  • Experience successfully delivering and managing complex products in a fast-paced environment.

  • Extensive leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Understanding of network and/or identity and/or security technologies and passion for infrastructure services.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 10+ years Program Management/Product Management experience defining and delivering products

  • BS or MS in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent desired.

  • Advanced technical degree or MBA a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements

Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
