Nvidia Principal Engineer Aerial, Algorithms - AI and ML in Santa Clara, California

We are building a team who will be developing a system aimed at 5G/6G wireless products based on the power of our GPU. Enabling 5G PHY/MAC layers, we will be using traditional signal processing algorithms but parallelizing them on the GPU. We plan to apply Machine Learning / Deep Learning to address PHY/MAC challenges. We are looking for a motivated and energetic principal member to take a strategic role in the architecture and the entire software product development life cycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Solid theoretical knowledge of communication systems, communication theory, linear algebra, detection and estimation theory, baseband signal processing algorithms and channel coding

  • Experience in LTE/5G NR L2 scheduler algorithm design

  • Experience with wireless algorithm performance characterization and analysis

  • Wireless modem design, development and commercialization experience

  • Seek and apply AI/ML approaches into radio access network for 5G/6G.

  • Define SW dependencies, identify requirements and holes to infrastructure layer/vRAN stack.

  • Work with ecosystem and showcase gains of new approaches.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) or PhD in Computers, Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of proven experience.

  • Radio access network or 5G experience at PHY, MAC and or whole stack level.

  • Experience in use cases realization on Edge over wireless world such as IoT, manufacturing, agriculture, surveillance, or AR/VR.

  • Strong statistical analysis expertise.

  • Understanding of mathematics behind different approaches.

  • Strong hands-on experience on programming languages such as Python and/or C++, R, Matlab

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
