Nvidia Platform Security Architect in Santa Clara, California

NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, hands-on candidate with extensive experience in SOC and platform security to define and deliver next-gen, novel products. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a coherent, industry-leading security architecture throughout all areas of the SOC + GPU. You will need to demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work externally with partners, OEMs/ODMs and across NVIDIA’s SW and HW teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build the industry-leading security narrative and define NVIDIA’s platform security posture, convincing external partners and customers of our goals

  • Ensure our offerings meet current standards, requirements, and anticipates industry trends

  • Lead engineering teams (FW, UEFI, EC, Drivers, etc.) to implement narrative. Provide detailed requirements, design, security bar, and acceptance criteria, and coordinate engineering milestones.

  • Perform hands-on triage, cross-functional debug and implementation in key areas

  • Produce comprehensive documentation/collaterals for both internal and external consumption

  • Support customers and OEMs with integration needs

  • Perform design and threat analysis of software and hardware designs, to ensure quality and robustness

What we need to see:

  • Deep knowledge of areas such as Arm, boot FW, UEFI and EC operation, signing, attestation

  • Hands-on experience working on various platforms (SOC, PC, embedded, edge servers etc.)

  • Hands-on experience interfacing with OEMs, ODMs, BIOS vendors, partners

  • Excellent documentation and presentation track record

  • Proven track record of providing and following through with pragmatic security requirements

  • Experience with threat modeling, formal design analysis etc.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and remotely with others to accomplish complex goals

  • 15+ years of meaningful software engineering experience

  • Minimum BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Proven success in driving platform security end to end

  • Experience with GPU architecture and security

  • Excellent C programming and low-level driver experience

  • Experience with secure code quality practices and tooling to support quick engagements and rapid analysis - static analysis tools (Coverity, Checkmarx, or similar), dynamic scanning (Rapid 7, AppSider, or similar), Fuzzing (AFL, SyzKaller, Peach, or similar) and code coverage (Bullseye, LDRA, etc).

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
