Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing employee payroll, ensuring accurate and timely compensation, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax laws, and excellent attention to detail to ensure that all payroll processes are executed smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

· Accurately process employee payroll on a regular schedule, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

· Update and manage employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation or benefits.

· Ensure accurate tax calculations and filing of payroll tax reports (federal, state, local).

· Process and track employee benefits deductions (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).

· Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.

· Generate payroll reports, maintain accurate records, and assist with year-end processes (e.g., W-2s).

· Keep up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar systems).

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
