The AWS Industry Products (AIP) team directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific products that directly impact and transform industries at AWS scale. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and build products through fast iteration in a start-up like environment.

We are looking for an experienced Front End Engineer obsessed with customer success, passionate about simplification and design-thinking, and excited to dive deep into an opportunity to change the way the world moves with new products for automotive companies and riders. We build software and information systems to manage vehicle data and apply them to broad automotive use cases at global scale.

Key job responsibilities

• Work backwards from customer needs, collaborate with product, UX and other stakeholders to define and deliver highly-scalable technical solutions with intuitive interfaces that delight customers

• Own the full software development lifecycles from design, implementation, testing, deploying, and operating the product at scale

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, describe product features, review technical designs, etc.

• Participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others - improving their skills, their knowledge of your software, and increase team’s productivity.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
