We have a great opportunity for a Facilities Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day hands-on operations of the facility(ies), including life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with company policies and processes; manage coordination of facility related activities to internal team members including external service providers and contractors. This role will occasionally require travel to our Southern California labs in Irvine and El Segundo.

Essential responsibilities: 

  • Schedules and documents necessary repairs and preventive maintenance of building, equipment, and systems.

  • Oversee any building projects or renovations for multiple locations. 

  • Provides technical input and guidance as needed for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining equipment, and recommends appropriate solutions.

  • Oversees janitorial staff, responsible for cleanliness and organization of building.

  • Responsible for implementing on-line full-service maintenance system.

  • Coordinates work with outside contractors as necessary.

  • Coordinates the maintenance, calibration, and function of both the Utility Pad and Laboratory tools and instruments.

  • Liaison between functional areas, other divisions, or other customers within the company.

  • The ideal candidate will have a 5+ years experience of multiple site management.

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science or equivalent years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams in a project manager capacity on major projects or initiatives.

  • Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.  

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals. 

  • Excellent relationship builder, open to direction and a collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.  

What would set you apart?:

  • Knowledge of cleanroom facilities including ESDA TR55 requirements

  • Knowledge of facility requirements related to laboratory equipment, including HVAC, LN2, CDA, vacuum and clean power considerations.

Compensation Range: $100k-$130k
