RGP Assoicate of Revenue Operations in Santa Clara, California
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Associate of Revenue Operations to support key revenue-related activities, including month-end close processes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and special projects involving critical revenue metrics and reporting. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes, ensure system integrity, and drive continuous improvements in revenue-related accounting practices.
Month-End Quarterly Close Support:
Assist with manual journal entries for operational close, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to resolve any discrepancies and finalize the close process.
Manage operational close tasks not related to UAT, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Rebate Program:
Support ongoing UAT for the rebate program (Varivent) after its recent go-live.
Focus on testing and validating August rebate data that has been pushed to production, ensuring it aligns with expectations.
Assist in verifying data integrity and accuracy, addressing any issues identified during testing before releasing additional data.
Support hyper-care production testing for a smooth transition from manual to system-driven rebate processes.
Special Project: Annual Recurring Revenue Metric (ARR):
Support the sizing and proof of concept for necessary enhancements to the ARR calculation process, which involves both manual and system components.
Assist in implementing improvements to ensure the ARR metric can be tracked accurately and consistently moving forward.
Participate in the UAT process once enhancements are completed to verify the updated logic is working as expected.
Special Project: Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO):
Assist with the enhancement and scaling of the RPO process, ensuring all unrecognized revenue and deferred amounts are properly accounted for.
Support sizing and proof of concept for RPO-related enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify system and process improvements.
Conduct UAT for RPO enhancements, verifying the effectiveness of the changes and ensuring accurate reporting of deferred and unrecognized revenue.
General Support for Revenue Operations:
Collaborate with internal teams on sizing, scoping, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives.
Support reconciliation activities, ensuring alignment between accounting and system-generated revenue data.
Help drive the implementation of enhancements and process improvements in revenue-related systems.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide updates on project progress and testing results .
Revenue Accounting Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue operations, accounting, or finance, with a focus on revenue recognition, ARP, RPO, and rebate programs.
Strong Analytical Skills: Experience with financial reporting, data reconciliation, and process improvements in a revenue operations context.
Experience with UAT: Proven experience with User Acceptance Testing, particularly in a system implementation or post-launch hyper-care phase.
Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives and support special projects related to revenue operations.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with revenue accounting software (e. . , Varivent) and ERP systems, with a solid understanding of revenue recognition principles.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to address complex issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions effectively.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating across teams and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Experience with Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) processes.
Exposure to system enhancements, sizing, and proof of concept initiatives.
Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools (e. . , Excel, PowerBI).
Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
Pay Range: $65 dollars in hour
