ABOUT THE ROLE

As a CBRE Maintenance Sr. Technician (Assistant Building Engineer), you will be responsible for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC/mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, control systems and other building systems.

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

  • Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.

  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

  • Impact the quality of own work.

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • EPA Universal/608 Certification required.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • Experience working with the CMMS (work order management) system to update and complete work order status and preventive maintenance plans.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The salary range is $40 - $43 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
