We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to support building next generation software in partnership with a UI/UX focused engineering team. This individual will work with multi-functional teams to drive key software programs from concept to delivery with focus on end-to-end bring-up and integration of very large scale, complex systems. The successful candidate will need to be adept at both drilling down into the details with an emphasis on planning and tracking progress, as well a articulating the big picture. Description

• Partner with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to develop an engineering plans to meet project, technology, and business objectives • Partner with engineering teams through all phases of development to deliver on-time, high-quality software • Lead discussions on requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, and validation • Track ongoing progress of development milestones • Communicate program goals, top issues, risks, critical milestones to leadership • Help the team with ongoing improvements to the program management processes • Deep dive into the details to drive decisions where needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience driving very large, complex software system development and integration.

  • At least 5-8 years combined experience in engineering and software project leadership delivering cross-functional projects across disciplines (SW, HW, Product, Design, QA)

  • Strong full-stack technology foundation with experience delivering products spanning across functional disciplines

  • Excellent track record of project management and meeting deliverables

  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to win the confidence of highly skilled engineers

  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information appropriate for audience

  • Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication - able to cater communications based on audience

  • Can influence and drive consensus on organizational priorities and engineering focus areas

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
