Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public role in Santa Barbara, California. This role involves preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and S corporation tax returns, as well as preparing monthly financial statements, account reconciliation, and processing payroll. The successful candidate will also be tasked with sales tax duties.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Individual, Corporate, S Corporation, and Partnership tax returns

• Preparation of monthly financial statements

• Account reconciliation

• Preparation, entry, and posting of year-end closing journal entries

• Processing of payroll and payroll reports

• Handling sales tax duties

• Utilizing skills in 'Individual Tax Return', 'Corporate Tax Return', 'Estate Tax Return', 'Trust Tax Returns' for various tasks. Requirements • Must possess thorough knowledge and understanding of Individual Tax Return procedures

• Proficient in Corporate Tax Return preparation and filing

• Experience with Estate Tax Return procedures is essential

• Demonstrable ability in processing Trust Tax Returns

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in using tax software and digital tools

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is a plus

• Proven experience in a similar role within a public tax firm is desirable.
