Sonatech, LLC Staff Accountant in Santa Barbara, California

[Position Summary: The staff accountants primary responsibility is to maintain Sonatechs general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
  • Book weekly payroll entries into the general ledger
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Compute monthly actual and forecasted overhead rates
  • Assist in annual forecasting of budgets and overhead rates
  • Assist in customer invoicing
  • Help generate Sonatechs annual incurred cost submission
  • Develop and maintain ad hoc and dashboard financial reports
  • Review employee timecards and download into the payroll system each week
  • Work closely with other members of the department and throughout the company
  • May support Government Property Accounting and record keeping

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Strong software skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong independent work ethic
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
