Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a contract to hire position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements as well as the reconciliation of accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accountant to gain valuable experience in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, fiscal reports, and records.

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

• Reconcile various accounts including bank statements, sales tax accounts, and credit card accounts.

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, payroll, and tax updates.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Assist with financial audits, prepare audit schedules, and respond to auditor questions.

• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field.

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus!

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.

• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel.

• Profound knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
