The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of manufacturing engineers, sustaining engineers, test technicians and engineering support personnel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise a team of Electrical and Mechanical Manufacturing engineers
  • Supervise product sustaining including RMAs and technology refresh
  • Responsible for component engineering
  • Be accountable to Manufacturing Management and Engineering Management
  • Responsible for manufacturing test which includes electronics, mechanical and acoustic testing
  • Responsible for design for manufacturability and testability including reviewing and approving all engineering design documents
  • Responsible for documenting all assembly instructions and processes
  • Responsible for design of manufacturing tooling including assembly and test apparatus
  • Determine and develop staffing profiles and schedules to meet program requirements.

Qualifications:

BSEE/BSME from accredited college or university is required.

MRP/ERP experience.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to multitask, manage projects and build cohesive teams in order to meet targets and objectives.

Good mechanical/electrical technical skills

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Understanding of Engineering, Tooling, Production, Program Management and Government Subcontracts processes

Experienced in dynamic environments where there may be schedule changes, design changes and validation failures.
