Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Audit Sr. - Public in Santa Barbara, California, 93101, United States. You will be a part of a dynamic team, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal and state regulations, and conducting audits within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and reviewing financial statements and reports for adherence to GAAP and relevant regulations
• Directing and leading audit teams in the identification of financial risks and execution of audit plans
• Formulating recommendations to enhance internal control systems and procedures, based on the interpretation of audit findings
• Effectively communicating with management and clients about audit findings, suggestions, and other pertinent issues
• Documenting audit procedures, findings, and recommendations to provide a detailed and accurate audit trail
• Generating precise and timely audit reports to fulfill client’s and regulatory authority’s expectations
• Engaging in detail oriented development activities to stay updated on auditing standards, accounting principles, and relevant regulations
• Contributing to the formulation of the organization's audit strategy
• Carrying out special audits or investigations as necessary
• Supervising and mentoring entry level audit staff, offering them guidance and feedback
• Liaising with stakeholders to explain audit findings and propose corrective actions
• Preparing audit working papers that encapsulate and summarize audit procedures performed
• Conducting continuous auditing and monitoring of financial and operational processes
• Spotting anomalies in financial records or statements and probing the causes of any discrepancies
• Assessing the efficacy of internal controls and risk management systems in place
• Upholding strict confidentiality of all financial records, reports, and client information. Requirements • Must have proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Audit Engagements is required
• Proficient in Auditing procedures and practices
• Demonstrated experience as an Audit Senior is essential
• Must possess a CPA certification
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP is necessary
