Aerotek Quality Inspector in Santa Ana, California

Job Description

Looking for a machine shop Quality Inspector in Santa Ana, CA on the 1st Shift from 5am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional opportunities for overtime. Pay will be $21-$28 an hour and based on experience. Inspectors will be working in aerospace, specializing in single movement, direct drive pressure gauges, fighter-jet caliber accelerometers, and high pressure/leak-proof precision machined parts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various inspections including Receiving, In-Process, and Final.

  • Document, track, and communicate test results.

  • Participate in functional testing verification, collect data, and prepare reports.

  • Support Manufacturing and Production to meet production targets.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Record and report on testing metrics.

  • Conduct First Article Inspection in accordance with AS 9102 requirements.

  • Approach others in a tactful manner; react well under pressure; accept responsibility for own actions; and follow through on commitments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in inspection and quality control.

  • Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection.

  • Proficiency in using measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and inspection reports.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Aerospace industry experience and knowledge of AS 9102 requirements.

  • Experience with medical device manufacturing.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and optical comparators is a plus, but training will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
